TO AN ENVIRONMENTAL APPROACH - 17/02/2014

Since 2013 our production unit based at Tahiti and certified ISO 9001:2008 by the AFAQ is involved in a strategy of sustainable development and of reduction of our Greenhouse Gas Emissions which includes:

-A process of evolution to an ISO 14001 certification

-A Carbon Footprint according to the method of the French Environment and Energy Management Agency (ADEME)

-A waste management

Our production unit at Tahiti is one of the first eco-friendly Polynesian manufacturer. We have participated last November to the European Week for Waste Reduction (EWWR) organized by the French Environment and Energy Management Agency (ADEME) by proposing a tour of the sites where the wastes are reused.

At this occasion, citizens as well as local entrepreneurs had the opportunity to discover all our initiatives of waste-recovery and composting in our main agricultural production channels:

-Tamanu Oil: reuse of the nut shells and valorization of the oilseed cake

-Monoï de Tahiti “Appellation d’Origine” : reuse of the oxidized oils, valorization of the plants after the maceration

-Noni Juice: valorization of the pulp of the fruits after the pressing and the filtration
